Twitter / X - x.com/jellybeansop What inspired you to create a guide specifically for this leader?
G/Y Law & G/P Luffy - These are the 2 Guides / MasterClasses I am heavily focusing on for this month. I have been a big fan of Law since the early days of OPTCG, my early success with RG Law going 11-0 in Malaysia Championships then followed up with a 17-0 in Sydney Regionals & 9-0 in Melbourne Regionals, making for a solid 36-0 three time Champion with Red Green Law during OP03/OP04. Through this season I fell in love with the gimmicks of the Law deck & always wanted to replicate it again. In OP10 when they announced the new Green Yellow Law Leader, I knew my time had come. I had to bring this deck to the top.
For me personally I only will create a Guide if I feel I can make a difference, the decks I specialise in usually require more finesse when playing and I hate playing simple curve decks. For example I cannot bring myself to do a MasterClass or Guide on a deck like Purple Luffy or Rob Lucci because I feel there’s nothing I can teach here, I cannot bring any value to anyone. When I started playing GreenYellow Law it wasn’t the best deck but whenever I lost with the deck I always felt there was somewhere I could have played better. This thought of chasing a perfect game made me fall in love with Green Yellow Law, I loved chasing the perfection required to pilot this deck to the highest ceiling. The amount of precision and mental control you need to play a perfect game with Green Yellow Law is exactly what made the deck so fun to me & it was something I was determined to share with other like minded individuals.

Who would benefit the most from this masterclass- Beginners, seasoned players, or both?
I believe this class will level up anyone’s gameplay, whether you’re an amateur or a top player. There is definitely something for everyone to take away from this upcoming MasterClass. I myself learn more and more about the deck every time I bring it into a new format. For simpler aspects on the deck you can checkout the Guide I wrote on Green Yellow Law on my Metafy Page, reading through it should get you up to speed if you’re lacking anywhere.
Is it correct if I say that GY Law is currently the hardest deck to pilote?
I would believe so, the deck has an incredible complex early game especially with the addition of OP12 Perona, now searching has become more complicated, similar to choosing between using Nami or Bonney Searcher in the early days of OP01 Red Green Law. There is always some calculations running in my head once I’ve played my first searcher. Aside from memorising the core cards of your stack, this deck at the core is still an aggressive deck and requires precision when you are attacking since this deck does not build an unfair board like UP Luffy’s 9999. Since you’re cheating cards at a reasonable speed, you need to manage your attacks and don well. Most combo heavy decks don’t require attacking precision like BY Luffy or Lucci, so I’d say this is one of the harder decks to play in the game but it is definitely rewarding to play.
Is this masterclass beneficial for Western players as well?
Yes! While I am an Eastern Player, my main target audience are players from the West so my content is tailored more for the Western Format.
Without spoiling to much, what makes this leader fun or unique to play?
I’m not sure if you can call it fun since some people think of it as a chore. But bringing Green Yellow Law into a new format is the most fun, since Law has the tools to win any and every matchup. I love building the deck in the new format trying to figure out how to win with Law in the current environment. Navigating through everything and coming up on top is the best feeling in the world for me.-Do you offer coaching or deck reviews for this leader as well?
What is the hardest part about learning this deck and do you cover it in your guide?
I’d say once you played this deck long enough you’re rinsing & repeating numbers in your head. The hardest part of the deck is adapting to a new meta, Law has all the tools at its disposal to win any matchup. Whenever a new format drops is where it is the hardest since I have to research on every deck in the meta and figure out how to build my deck.
A good example would be the Green Zoro deck in OP12. For Japan this was a near impossible matchup, I too lost to Green Zoro a lot. But in my head I kept thinking, Green Yellow Law has so many tools at it’s disposal I definitely can win the Zoro Matchup, do I need to approach the matchup differently? I reached my answer in the recent Malaysia CS where I fought 4 Green Zoro while playing Green Yellow Law. I won the first 3 Green Zoro all while losing the diceroll & going 2nd. In the last round of swiss I was 8-0 and I fought another Green Zoro, since I was going to make Top Cut regardless, I decided to use this game as an ‘experiment” I tried a different playstyle and found out it wasn’t as ideal. I whiffed on a Luffy Searcher of all things and I lost quickly, but I confirmed the best way to fight against Green Zoro.
Where can readers purchase the guide/masterclass and how much does it cost?
The Masterclass I am running is priced at $25 and is happening in 2 weeks, it was initially priced at $50 & I wanted to give a 50% Discount Code to all the Guide Owners but since Metafy couldn't automate the process, I decided to give the discount to everyone and price the Masterclass at $25 instead.
The Guide in my current Metafy Page is priced at $40. It has been regularly updated since OP10. Updates for the OP12 Format is coming soon. Don’t worry about future payments, the $40 is a one time access to everything.

Do you offer coaching or deck reviews for this leader as well?
I do offer coaching / deck reviews for the deck too! Everything is in my Metafy Page, from 1on1 sessions and Gameplay Reviews. These cover just about everything anyone will need.
Will this deck still be on top of the meta in OP12?
This deck actually peaked in OP12 with the introduction of the new 5 cost Secret Bonney & 1 cost Perona Searcher. These 2 cards gave Green Yellow Law everything it was missing before and finally filled up all the gaps the deck had.
I went 8-1 in the recent Taiwan Championships placing Top 16 where I lost the first round of Top Cut to U/P Luffy.
Subsequently in the following week I went 8-1 again in the Malaysia Championship last week placing Top 16 again, I won U/P Luffy in Top 16 & lost to U/P Luffy again in Top 8 where I lost to time & the judge gave a wrong ruling resulting in my loss. I’ll definitely try harder and bring the deck to its rightful glory soon.
Would you recommend the deck in a ChinoizeCup? Or even more important in Finals/LCQ?
I only can recommend this deck if you actually spent enough time practicing on the deck, it is not a deck you can master in a day, heck it took me weeks nearly months to perfect my plays on this deck and even then I think I can do better. Ultimately just play what you’re comfortable with & let your training pay off.
In the west it seems that Belo Betty is taking over, how do you feel about that matchup?
This matchup definitely requires some skill on the Law player’s end since you cannot win in a heads on game. Personally it is an easy matchup for me since I am used to fighting aggro decks as Green Yellow Law.
Was or is Belo Betty also such a big player in the east?
Bello Betty is generally frowned upon in the East since most good players know how to play into it. Whenever Belo Betty wins an Event is always because there was an opponent that played sub optimally into it. Fight a good player on 9 different decks as Belo Betty and I doubt you can take 8/9 games off him.
Any Exciting results or tournament finishes using this deck you'd like to share?
Yeap! In the last 2 weeks I made Top Cut in 3 out of 4 Championships I participated in!
Taiwan Championships 1on1 - Top 16 (Green/Yellow Law)
Malaysia Championships 1on1 - Top 8 (Green/Yellow Law)
Malaysia Championships 3on3 - Top 8 (Green/Purple Luffy)
Mainly these will be the 2 decks I’ll be using for the rest of the format since Asia has 3on3 and my teammates are always Meta Slaves, so my job is always playing the 2nd or 3rd best deck.
Because of this I decided to run 2 Masterclasses this month on Green Purple Luffy and Green Yellow Law. In OP12 these 2 decks are definitely a force to be reckoned with.
What 2 deck will qualify for worlds (in the West)? Any guess?
What would win in the Dallas Finals? Since it’s OP12 literally anything can win, if there is a deck I am rooting for it has to be Green Yellow Law. Another underdog pick is Silvers Rayleigh. For Europe and OP11 format, my guess is UP Luffy.
Kill one-bring the other to Tier S: RG Law or GY Law?
When playing Law it’s always up to the player, in good hands it’s already a Tier S deck so can’t relate to this question.
One more fun question: If you could ban and unban one card, what cards would you pick? Ban - 9 cost Linlin , I think U/P Luffy has an interesting Leader ability but giving this Leader access to healing and being able to cheat out 9 cost Linlin off Sanji is definitely too unbalanced. Personally I think Gum Gum Giant is fine, if you think about all the other Purple Luffy decks, they aren't exactly overperforming even with Giant at their disposal, it is just U/P Luffy with Leader effect + 9 cost Linlin + Giant making for a too high wall to break through.
Unban - Kingdom Come. What did Enel do LOL, losing Kingdom Come has ruined a Tier 2 deck
Thanks for reading and Good luck with the GY LAW grind!
