What inspired you to create such an in-depth guide for the One Piece Card Game?

One Piece Card Game changed my life in a lot of aspect, I met friends, I travel and discover new places and it helps me to live. it's a fair return to help people improve and love the game that changed my life.

Who did you have in mind while making this video — is it more aimed at beginners or experienced players?

My first thought was for the people taking part in the regionals to help them getting better result. After the feedback I've received, even top players have congratulated me and told me they've learned a lot. I would say the masterclass is quite friendly for everyone (except for the very new beginners maybe a little bit too difficult)

How long were you working on this project before it was ready to publish?

The idea of this project was long time ago, when i noticed that a lot of fundamental part of the game was not understood by the majority of players. To write and record everything, it took me 1 month I would say. English is not my native language and I wanted to do my best to accurately express my ideas and vision of the game.

Did you run into any challenges while creating the guide, either in terms of content or production?

When I finished writing everything, I was afraid that people wouldn't like it, that they'd find it too simplistic or useless. It's always difficult to present work that's been several weeks in the making to outside judges. And I've resolved to tell myself that if OPCG community doesn't like it, it's okay, I'll do better next time.

Was there a specific part of the guide you’re particularly proud of?

According to feedback, the best part is "how to go to letal". My favorite are the Mental part because i think it's one of the most underestimate thing in TCG. The one I'm the most proud is Adaptation because this is the part which improve the most my winrate in real game.

How do you hope the community will use this guide? Are you planning on doing more content like this?

Community can use this guide as they wish, they can also share it. It's free and it will be always free. I will do other free content for sure, but i just don't know when, because it takes a lot of times. My way of thinking is that just because it's free doesn't mean I have to do shit.

Do you think a fundamental understanding of the game changes how people enjoy it or engage with the meta?

I think there will be always meta that we like and we don't like. The thing is more about the game, do you like the game ? If it's the case fundamental is one of the most important thing because whatever the meta, you can have good games if you have good fundamental.

Now that it’s out, what kind of feedback have you received so far from the community?

I've received an unthinkable amount of good feedback, thanks, and joy at seeing their results improve. I read all the messages and I can't thank people enough for the support they've given me.

Lastly — if someone is just getting into the game today, what’s the #1 tip you’d give them? Enjoy the game and the people, learn to fail and don't fail to learn.
